On January 19, 2021, a teleconference took place with the first-year student of the RUDN University, Stallone Peter and potential applicants wishing to study at Russian universities under scholarship provided by the Russian government.
The video link was organized by N. Karamagi, a teacher of Russian language courses, at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Dar es Salaam.
During the teleconference, applicants had the opportunity to communicate directly with their fellow Tanzanian, who last year was the same candidate for scholarship as they are now. The candidates received useful and timely information about the importance of learning the Russian language before departing to Russia.
Stallone spoke about the incidents occurring with students who come to Russia without knowing Russian at all. He thanked the teachers of the Russian language for the good preparation that he had while at the RCSC. Knowledge of the language helps him to study perfectly well and feel comfortable among Russians. He told his compatriots that he was already able to get his first part-time job thanks to his ability in using Russian. Applicants asked questions of interest to them and received comprehensive answers. The teleconference was a great success and, of course, will serve as an excellent incentive for applicants to learn Russian language.
