Can Russian dumplings help in learning Russian? Apparently, this is the question that the teachers of the Russian language courses at the RCSC in Dar es Salaam asked themselves and organized an unusual lesson on September 17, which in the curriculum thematic was designated as "Traditional Russian cuisine." Russian dumplings and Olivier salad became teaching aids in the lesson for young Tanzanians preparing for study at Russian universities, and the playing method of teaching was a culinary master class in Russian and the active participation of students in the preparation of famous Russian dishes. The master class turned into a fun competition: someone tried to stick as many dumplings as possible, someone tried to make unusual ones.

   The dumplings and salad are delicious. And now teachers can be sure that the new Russian vocabulary of the lesson - the names of vegetables, ingredients for dough and minced meat, the actions of the cook - will be remembered for a long time by everyone who sculpted, cooked, served prepared dishes on a common friendly table and, finally, ate them with pleasure.
