Winners of the Pushkin Contest in Dar es Salaam are awarded Certificates

Within the framework of a multi - purpose event dedicated to the “Russian Language Day”, the Russian Centre for Science and Culture (RCSC) in Dar es Salaam organized an online competition "Oh Yes, Pushkin."

Participants of the competition were students taking Russian language courses at the RCSC, who, together with their teacher Natalya Karamagi, recited poems by the great Russian poet, namely:

- "The Winter Road"

- "My uncle has the most honest rules ..."

- "Winter morning"

- "Certainly, heaven breathed in the fall"

- "Autumn weather that year"

- "The Flower"

- "We love those who do not love us"

- "Here is north, overtaking the clouds ..."

      According to the verdict of the jury, two participants drew up on points and thus they shared the first place: Raymond Sabuni, who read the poem “The Flower” and Mohamed Omar, who had prepared and recited an excerpt from the poem “Eugene Onegin”. The second place was taken by Joseph Starlone, who recited the poem "We Love Those Who Do Not Love Us," while the third place was taken by Dorin Mtenga, who recited the poem “The Winter Road”.

      The Representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tanzania M.V. Pateeva presented each participant with an inscribed certificate and some small prizes.

 The participants of the ceremony were treated to a photo exhibition on the life and work of the great Russian poet as well as a film about Pushkin, dubbed in English.
